Be nice and keep smiling

I want to talk about being nice in a cruel world. Sadly, it’s very rare to find a nice genuine person, not many exist and these are gems. It makes me sad to see the newer generation being disrespectful, growing quickly and thinking they became grownups in their teens. Imagine when they become older… no more moral values.

Reality is, no matter where we are in the world, we became that person thanks to other people sacrificing time and resources without we realising or knowing. The least we can do is be nice and respect everyone even if we don’t know them and just crossed paths in life once. That lovely person behind the counter at our favourite coffee place, took their time to perfect their art to make that coffee that will fuel our productivity during the day. The bus driver that drives us around to make our life easy… you get where I’m going.

Each and every person contributed to where we are today so I try to be nice and respect everyone. Everyone does their little part and should be appreciated and respected. The biggest gift you can give is put a smile on someone else’s face. That little “thank you” might make their day. When someone does something not to my liking, like my coffee burnt, I still say thank you because they might be going through stuff we don’t know. We don’t know their story or maybe they’re just having a bad day.

Stay smiling and make others smile. Be nice and people will be nice to you :) This is how you achieve true happiness.
